Gorgonzola ravioli and chicken fillets smothered in smoked mozzarella. Crayfish and mango salad. Dreamy tiramisu. It's easy to imagine these on some posh restaurant's menu. But from summer 2007, that's exactly what you can expect to enjoy on board a Thomsonfly flight.
With the help of celebrity chef Aldo Zilli, we've completely revamped our onboard menus to include a unique taste of Italy. Forget school dinners, it's time plane food got the star treatment.
Aldo, the man behind the Zilli restaurant group in Soho, has been spending months coming up with a selection of a dozen dishes, plus a "Zilli Special" fry-up breakfast. He was thrilled by the opportunity to improve airline food. "I've been disappointed with it for years. I cannot remember ever eating a good meal on a flight," he told us.
